Steak topped with Oyster Salsa
+1 Edgell Corn
Bet you never knew steak and oysters went so well together! It’s true, this salsa adds plenty of extra tangy and smoky flavours to the tender cuts of beef. It’s such an easy one to throw on the barbie – we’ve added corn for sweetness and the result is unbelievably good.

+1 1 CAN (125g) EDGELL CORN KERNELS
- 4 pieces grilling steak
- 6-8 cherry tomatoes
- ¼ red onion, finely sliced
- ½ small cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 cup rocket leaves
- 85g can John West Smoked Oysters in Barbecue Sauce, drained and reserve sauce
Season steak with cracked black pepper and cook on a preheated oiled BBQ or pan fry until cooked as desired. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, rocket and John West Smoked Oysters tossing lightly.
ADD DRAINED EDGELL CORN KERNELS.
Serve steak drizzled with reserved sauce and topped with Smoked Oyster mixture.
Steak can be thinly sliced after cooking and served over salsa.
