This take on a classic South Australian dish is great for inspiration when the cupboard is looking bare. You can pick up a warm meat pie from the bakery, or use a frozen variety to then cover in mash. The whole family will love this easy meal.

+1 1 PACKET (100g) EDGELL INSTANT MASH
- 420g can Edgell Garden Peas, undrained
- 4 meat pies, heated
- ¼ cup tomato sauce
Place undrained Edgell Garden Peas into bowl and using the back of a fork crush the peas. Pour pea mixture into a saucepan and cook for 2-3 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
Spoon heated pea puree into the base of 4 serving bowls. Place a hot pie in each bowl.
TOP WITH THE PREPARED EDGELL INSTANT MASH AND SERVE WITH TOMATO SAUCE ON THE SIDE.
The pea puree can also be heated in a suitable container in a microwave oven for 2-3 minutes, stirring twice during heating.
